By the end of day two, as all of us “Competitouristas” settled into a quaint historic village in Maastricht, Netherlands, I truly felt like I had already been in Europe for over a week!
Day one alone involved a quick meet and greet in Amsterdam before travelling North to IJmuiden to shoot arrows and attempt archery tag. Then, we all learned the sport of power kiting on the beach through a series of more powerful kites and finally, took those very kites onto a buggy! Even with a packed day of activities, we finished with a taxi ride to Rotterdam for an escape room puzzle!
Day two? More adventures, starting with a scavenger hunt through the canals of Rotterdam and having fun the whole time despite dealing with a faulty GPS and bracing ourselves through a torrential downpour.
On the eve of our final 11th night, I pulled an all-nighter to create this video below with a combination of photos and videos showing the range of new experiences and highlighting the laughs and mishaps along the way. I was having so many issues with internet and wifi, but luckily my new found friends, Zach and Nicole, helped me out with some internet tethering and laptop borrowing, so that we could all watch this video together as a team on the very final night.
THE HIGHLIGHT REEL!
With all that we did, I’m sure it would be tough to remember everything so I’m grateful that everyone put up with my constant filming and snapping away!!
Seeing everyone watch our memories from the previous intensive 11 days, and laugh all together was the best goodbye and farewell I could ask for 🙂
